Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sahoo, Governing Board Member

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sahoo is a seasoned development professional with a strong academic background and extensive experience in teaching, research, project management, and community development. Dr. Sahoo holds a PhD in Social Work from Utkal University, Odisha, India. He has also completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) from Utkal University, Odisha, under a World Bank fellowship program in the Centre of Excellence in Studies on Tribal and Marginalised Communities (CoE-STMC). He also possesses a couple of Master degrees in Economics and Social Work from Utkal University, Odisha, and qualified for the UGC-NET in Social Work in 2013.

Dr. Sahoo is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Prior to this position, Dr. Sahoo has worked for around 15 years with a number of national and international organizations like the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), the International Centre for Agricultural Research in Dry Area (ICARDA), Tata Trust, the Centre for Development Study-Kerala, the Administrative Staff Council of India (Hyderabad), the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (Dehradun), Utkal University (Odisha), and Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. Dr. Pradeep has published 15 journal articles, 2 book chapters, and 3 communication materials on the ILRI website. Some of his research articles were published by internationally reputed publishers, with the journal indexed in Scopus and SSCI. Furthermore, he has attended more than 25 international and national seminars and workshops, presenting the findings of his various research projects. Dr. Pradeep is the life member of the National Association of Profession Social Workers in India (NAPSWI), the Odisha Professional Social Workers Association (OPSWA), and the Odisha Economic Association (OEA). Dr. Sahoo is the chairman of the Gyanalok Trust, which is actively working in Odisha to help and empower needy scholars through education. As a professional social worker, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, analytical prowess, and a deep commitment to driving positive change in the communities. His proficiency in Odia, English, and Hindi, coupled with his extensive field experience and academic acumen, positions him as a valuable asset in society, especially in Odisha.
