Dr. Manju Panwar, Governing Board Member

Dr. Manju Panwar is the Head of the Department of Social Work, B. P S Women’s University, Sonipat, the first state women’s university in North India, India. She has the additional charge of the Director, Women Study Centre and Nodal Officer of International Relations Office, BPSMV. She has the experience of more than a decade as Social Work Educator, Researcher and Practitioner.

Dr. Manju Panwar’s first book titled “Social Action- Experiences of Young Activist, Mittal Publications was reviewed by David Moxley, Professor of Community Practice and Social Action, University of Oklahoma, Norman and published in Journal of Community Practice, Taylor & Francis Group. She has completed University Grant Commission minor research on “Impact of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) on Rural Women” and major research project titled “Impact Assessment of Integrated Child Development Services in Haryana”. She has published number of papers and articles on issues relating to the role of community engagement in higher education, women empowerment and development issues in national and international journals. She has participated and presented papers in conferences, seminars, and workshops at the National and International levels. Dr Manju Panwar received the Annual Award from National Award from National Dairy Research in Asia, Karnal for outstanding contribution in the capacity building Farm Women. She has also received National Cleanliness Education Promotion Award from the National Institute of Cleanliness Education and Research, New Delhi. She is the core member of Consultative Group on the research A Fair Chance for Education Gendered Pathways University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
